Swapped out my Schwalbe Tough Tom/Bontrager XR4 Comp tires for Continental Cross Kings 2.3/2.2 tires for my local single track trail rides. I had no idea that it would be so much easier to peddle on the trail. The Greenway across the street from me has a lot of loose leaves and pinestraw with roots galore in SC. Not much downhill sections and big drops or jumps. I'm relatively out of shape this season and felt like XC tires would benefit me more and I was completely correct. Today I learned to not over tire my bike in the future. PS the Continental tires don't have all the issues that a lot of people post about online anymore.

Yes tires make a big difference. Before my tires weren’t mtb tires so they were triangular and I couldn’t do berms. With some continental trail kings I was super good.

  2. Recently tried my first schwalbe magic Mary 🤯 great for my soft over hard conditions.
