so i got this carrying system that attaches to the bottom plastic part of my ortlieb panniers, i slide the plastic bit of the carrying system inside the plastic of the pannier until it “clicks” (2nd pic), but i have no idea how to remove it easily other than me struggling w it for a while to yank it out. i’m not sure if i’m removing this part properly, there must be an easier/proper way.. if anyone has any tip lmk thanks!!

Nope. You’ve got it. Just thank it out. Unfortunately this is the weakest part of the backpack strap accessory in my opinion. If it were easier to attach the bottom straps then it would be significantly easier to attach and remove the straps at will. As it is, it is my opinion that the straps are best if you are looking to use a pannier in backpack mode for a day or two rather than an hour or two.
I’ve that too. Just pull it out with force.
