Hi there, i got 7days starting on Monday before my new job is starting and want to use it with my bike.
Its end of March, so not the perfect conditions but i dont want to fly somewhere just for a week. I plan not to camp but find accoms due to the weather.

Am based in Hamburg, Germany and I d take trains to any starting point. Just sticked a route together consisting out of EV 3 -> EV 5 -> EV 12.
Do you know that area or better routes around 900-1000kms?

Doesnt have to be Belgium or anything but i did not want to cycle in Germany again(especially not the north and centre as i find it very boring).
Scandinavia seems to cold for now, thats why i headed bit south-west.

Let me know if you think thats a reasonable route or just plain n boring altogether 🙂
Am using a gravel-bike with road tires, so no muddy forest probably.

This is a pretty route Id say, the route crosses a few times the Walloon/Flemish border. Although the same country, it can be a very interesting experience.

A shame you skip some of the Ardennes hills though! Would recommend to ride from Liege to Durbuy and on to Huy. From Huy follow the Meuse to Namur.

Dont forget to ride up the Namur citadel, it had beautiful views. Would recommend to visit Geraardsbergen and ride its “Muur”

Brussels may not be very fun, although everything around Brussels is not very pleasant in terms of cycling. Maybe go from Namur to Leuven, to Mechelen en get from Mechelen onto Aalst. From there, the Deinze is a nice river to follow. Geraardsbergen is a nice town to go, its not very far from the Deinze river (some hills in between).

About the French part I don’t know much, but Lille is a nice city. Cleaner than Brussels.

The belgian coast is not very interesting compared to its Dutch and French neighbours.
