Knowing your tool is a good thing. Also necessary for survival
Who wrote this BS ? I have my dad's Winchester with a 26 inch barrel and it is a tack driver at 200ft and has killed a truck load of hogs. I got a 22 Henry that has a 18 inch barrel and around 130 feet shots great . Talking about 100 yards and 150 yards is stretching a 22 . not saying it can't be done but it is stretching it. The biggest deer I have taken was with my Henry 10 pointer and well over 200 lbs.shot through the ear around 40 yards. We needed the meat. And a smaller one up close say inside 20 feet with the Henry. I keep a single shot Winchester in the shed by the chicken coup just in case.
This Dude is NOT a firearms expert. I doubt he's ever shot one.
Who is the "They" in "They don't want you to know" ? . . . Such BullSh&t ! 😂
Who doesn't want me to know? WHAT KIND OF CRAP IS THAT?
Thought I'd learn something new. Left due to AI and repeated garbage descriptions and the CCI ads.
AI Horse shit.
BS
I have been shooting .22 lr. for over 65 years. and have always found a 20-21 " barrel the most accurate. I have also mostly savage bolt action, but do use semi auto In fact my first rifle was a Mossberg semi from 1952. load through the stock. 20 or 21 " barrel my son is still shooting it. I do have some shorter barrels but have never got them to shoot as accurate. Had to switch to a scope a few years back and can still get five and ten round groups that can be completely covered by a dime. And I do like heavy barrels, especially for the range. savage may not be the best out there but as long as I can shoot dime size groups from 40 and 50 yards do not think I need any better. I was told many years ago that the 21" barrel helps stabilize the bullet better, and the extra long sight helps as well, when shooting open V sights or peep sights. In my younger days we would shoot dragon flies and shoot the heads off matches at around 10 to 20 yards, with open V sights. When I was into target shooting my teens I had V sights but just about every one else had peep sights, and all the barrels were 20 – 21" and most of us would get all rounds in the 10 ring. quite often even in the X ring. They were small targets. Talk is one thing but proof is on the range or in the woods.
Thumbs down for ai slop. Painful to listen to the robotic voice say THE, TWENTY TWO, LONG RIFLE like 100x. Just pay a real guy to read the script.
My friend killed a dear with a 22
Ai voice can't stand it.
Ai voice is a no go
I bought a Remington 552 Speedmaster semi-automatic .22 rifle in the fall of 1961 as a senior in high school. I still have it and it's been used very little. I took it to a gunsmith recently to have it cleaned and the front sight replaced. They said it was in excellent shape. When I first bought it I tried to pull the trigger faster than it would load and could not.
I watched a tv show recently narrated by the homicide detective that solved 389 homicides. He said a .22 was more deadly than a larger caliber because the larger caliber would pass through the body and the .22 wouldn't and would almost always kill. The round is very difficult to remove from a body.
Claiming the barrel length should be 16-18 inches to perform its best while the best competition rifles are around 20 inches seems a bit odd.
I smile at these articles on the ability of the .22lr that repeat the same facts that have been repeatedly stated in the media since I started shooting in the 60's, yet are still scoffed at by many supposed shooters.
How does this apply to the Hämmerli R1, where the twist rate is 1:6?
In the thumbnail was a Bruno model 2 if memory serves me right
Me parece q no es rifle largo 22 sino rifle 22 largo
There are not showing all 22 watch the kicks
For your 22……keep it CLEAN. Go to the range , spend the afternoon, get home, CLEAN YOUR EQUIPMENT.
I have used my Browning lever action for close to 40 years…no faults yet, and it shoots shorts, longs and long rifle ammo. Dane
OK THIS VIDEO IS IRRATATING!
A hole is a hole. The size of the hole doesn’t matter nearly as much as the location. A .22 can make a hole through the right spot just like any of its larger counterparts.
