  1. Just stay away from that Litelok Gold wearable. Can be cut in seconds with the correct wire cutters. Not the incorrect type as shown in the marketing.
Be suspicious of claims made by manufacturers and even Sold Secure. Look up reviews by independent lock smiths.

  2. I once accidentally left my bike unlocked at these very bike stands on King Street in Bristol for an entire day (I was a stupid student) and when I came back not only was my bike still there leaning against the stand but the bike lock next to mine had been cut through and stolen. 😂 talk about hiding in plain sight

  3. Want security? Don't ever use a lock, find a business, a bike shop, an office, a bar whatever that you have a relation with the owner (not romantic lol) and ask them to keep your bike there stored while you do your stuff
I do this, I never let my bike outside, ever!

  4. It's just like the car-immobilizer or a camera deep inside of its trunk or a catalytic converter – just a matter of time and delay and effort and determination. 🤪

  5. I do remote service bike repair and cut locks when keys are broken or lost. The most annoying lock to cut is surprisingly the dutch style rear wheel lock. Awkward angle and in case you pick a better angle you have to cut thru plastic housing, metal housing and hard metal lock it self. Easiest are chain style locks often times the pad lock being the softest.

  6. You can cut, break or pick every lock out there. The longer and more specialized tools it takes, the safer.

The question isn't if your lock is absolutely safe. The question is, if it's safer than the one of the bike next to yours.

  7. I use eight locks.
    Pad lock on rotor.
Two HipLok on helmet and front wheel.
Pad lock on cable and Down tube and front wheel.
U lock on rear wheel and seat-tube.
U lock on top tube and bike rack.
Oh, and I got an AirTag under the saddle.
