Put a 110mm SID on my cutthroat and took it for its first ride this morning on a mix of pavement, gravel and single track. It is very, very fun — not quite a hard tail mountain bike and not quite a gravel bike but somewhere in between and a nice “pretty good at lots of things” zone, that also happens to be “real good at easier front-range single track” (I rode North Sky and Lefthand/Eagle, if you’re familiar with Boulder trails, and the fork turned North Sky from “jarring but fun” to “very fun”. Tailwind and perfect temps helped too)

Some notes:

* upgraded the front rotor to 180mm for compatibility

* the tire will rub the lower bottle cage (removed it when I got home)

* I weigh 220lbs and the fork was plenty stiff for me — steering felt very precise

  1. Nice!! Wanted a Cutthroat frame but was a bit too rich for my blood so I got a Fargo.
    Love the color, enjoy it!

Daft to ask maybe, but is that fork in any danger of contacting the downtube? The frame is rated for a 506mm offset, 110mm SID is 516.

Not being a dick, just checking that you’re not going to go over the bars if it goes full stroke in a drop or similar.
