Should just sit fine upside down on the brifters/saddle right?

Could also wrap in a blanket and lay somewhere, in my head I’d want to avoid resting it on the chainrings but realistically I’d imagine they’d be 100% fine if you took the bike as pictured and leaned it up against wall sitting on some cardboard.

I feel like you’re overthinking this. I don’t say this to be mean, but this is a bicycle which is meant to be ridden outdoors. I would just lightly place it on the ground, rest it on the front dropouts and the chainring.

Don’t rest it on the rear derailleur if you can avoid it. Try to put it somewhere where it won’t get knocked over, pushed or leaned against, or shoved around a bunch of

If your ground is made of asphalt or broken glass or something and you’re concerned that even just placing the bike on it will damage the bike, you could put a shop towel or rag down underneath the contact points.

    Your bike will be fine

It’s OK to just leave a bike on the ground, but you’d want it in an out of the way spot (like the corner of your garage/basement, or a closet) where it isn’t going to be stepped on. You might consider putting down a blanket so the chainring/chain doesn’t mark up a floor with scratches or grease.

if you have a wall hook, it’s cool to hang a frame through the stays or front triangle.

Cheapest way: On Aliexpress they sell for 8€ rooftop bike holder, that secure the bike using the front axle. If you screw this support on a wall you’ll get a cheap and cool way to hang bike.

Swing by your local bike show and see if they’ll give you some spacers for the frame, fork, and brake calipers. Do that and gently place it anywhere. Use a moving blanket to keep it from scratching up the floor.
