Any ideas people. All I can think is the rim is bigger than 26. The tan walls fit fine same size

It looks like the tire bead isn’t seated into the hook part of the rim. Can you deflate to 10psi, splash the whole thing with soapy water and try to work the bead into the right spot?

Are these the original tires?🤔
I’ve had this happen a couple of times, usually where the valve is, but the front tire is crammed in almost opposite to the valve, so if the usual tricks don’t work, im probably tempted to think that despite these tires have the same wheel diameter, they are too narrow, if that makes any sense..?
It looks like these Schwalbes are barely as wide as the rim itself, when usually any tire is bigger or “fatter” than the rim is wide..
I think you may need to look for another set of tires sir..
But before you’re looking for a new set of tires, first try these tricks:
press the valve into the rim before pumping the tires, make sure to twist off the small ring from the valve’s thread. This usually works when the tire is pulled into the rim at the valve’s position, but your other tire may need some massaging, pulling etc..

if they weren’t 26s you wouldn’t been able to fit them.
Did you check the width of the rim and tire? BMX/cruiser rims tend to be wider then roadbikes and your tire looks like it’s a regular road tire so maybe there’s a problem there. The tires width is 1.25″ while double wall rims usually fit 2.2-2.5″ ones so this might be an issue. Look up the rims before you buy anything tho, I don’t really have experience with 26″ stuff.

Just a guess really, but those tires are 26×1.25, which may be too skinny to seat on the rim bead. I read that the performer 26 comes with 2.2 tires. I’m thinking the rim is too wide for a significantly slimmer tire.
