Tricked out my super Schwinn with some riv-nuts and bottles cages or something! I’ve had my local shop (big stump bikes) install bottle cage nuts on my frame(s) before and I think these came out great!! 😍💖

Nice! I did rivnuts on a fork rack recently. Folks with 1000% risk aversion will complain at you in the comments. Others, who aren’t afraid of thunder and what might live under their beds will offer positivity lol.
I have never heard of them. Are they pretty easy to use? Any risks in using them?

My engineering brain is yelling “*stress concentrator in a highly-loaded structural member!*”, but pragmatically this will be just fine until it isn’t. Plus, it’s steel: if there’s a problem, you’ll see it long before it’s worrisome.

I’ve used rivnuts a bunch and never thought to use them on bikes. My new (old) Raleigh build has no bottle cage mounts and the vintage style clamps are kinda flimsy. I’ll give this a shot
