So I have a trek verve 1 on Bontrager connection rims (with concord innertubes) that I put some panaracer gravelking SS (700-40) onto. The problem is that there is a low spot on each rim where the bead is sunken in. Video attached for reference. What did I do wrong or what can I do to fix it? I can ride it because it feels like the wheels are fully oblong. Any help would be appreciated

My tires are seating properly in the rim

Gotta massage it.  Let some air out, twist the tire at the low spot, put some air back in.  Keep futzing with it until you’re g2g.

  2. pump them up a little bit then you can fiddle with the fitment and ones they are seated properly then pump them to the correct bar.

if that does not work retry it with soapy liquid as you already mentioned.

I inflate to like 60 lbs, coast on the bike with my weight for about 10 feet, check, and repeat. Usually gets it seated properly.

  4. They aren‘t. Liquid soap/water solution on the tire before inflation and you should be good.

The tire is not seated properly. You can see where the tire dips down underneath the rim that’s why you have low spots.
