Hello everyone I just got a new shock for my Stumpy 15, a 210×55 shock, and I noticed that the stanchions are different lengths but the eyelets appear to match up. Does the X-Fusion shock just have spacers in it or something, or did I order the wrong shock. Both should be 210×55. Thanks everyone!

There’s a ring of oil on the old shock, is that at bottom out or does it go further? You can try measuring both shocks to see what 55 mm actually is, cause it looks like the X-fusion might have some more shaft sticking out and be adjusted via spacers. Never opened up one of them, so it’s just a guess though.
Measure to make sure.
The new one might not be fully extended. The negative chamber wants to pull in the shock, if the chambers aren’t equalised the shock get pulled in or if there is no proper pressure inside from assembly it might also be not fully extended.
Since both are 210×55 the new one should fit given that the shock hardware is all correct
Do this: inflate the xfusion to close to 10 psi and measure what is the effective travel, moving it by hand until the bottom out. If it travels by more or less 55mm you good
Sometimes companies use the same shock but modify it internally for different stroke lengths, I wonder if this is that?
Let all of the air out of it, fully compress the rear, and see how much shaft is still sticking out. I’ll bet it’s 10mm or so.
