Hey guys. Picked up this vintage Salsa bike yesterday off marketplace for $250. It has no flaws and rides great. Seller said she was selling her brother’s bike, so she didn’t have much knowledge on it. Seems to be worth a lot more than the price I got it for.
Did I get a good deal?

If this is how you ride it then the bike is waaaaay too big for you
Excellent deal imho
Very pretty.
I have a bike with red and champagne… and chrome seat stays and fork.
So I am biased.
that thing could have been like 400 depending on the local market i guess
I’d be all over that deal
She’s gorgeous! As long as the bike’s in good working order, I’d say this was a pretty good deal.
Needs some tan-wall tires on it! Lovely
I wanted one of these when I first heard of the model. Mainly for the La Raza model name. Then I found out there was no Raza involved. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Fix that quick release before you remove your nose.
Great deal, and glad you fixed the front skewer
As an investment – I doubt it. But the price seems good. As a good ride – it depends on the type of riding your plan on doing. For most road rides, it’s probably good. But if you plan on riding in bad weather or going on trails, it’s the wrong bike for the job (due to rim brakes and gears that don’t look optimize for climbing).
It’s a nice bike, but it’s NOT 90’s. Probably a 2010 model: [https://www.salsacycles.com/products/la_raza](https://www.salsacycles.com/products/la_raza)
In the 90’s Salsa was a small independent high end brand, so a 90’s Salsa road bike would be more valuable. However, its’ still a very nice bike and a good price, assuming it’s not in need of a lot of work.
Buy it now bro.
