  1. Excellent suggestions. I do all of these and I believe they really help. I also have a Smith machine, which facilitates a great number of exercises, but I love dumbbells. If you’re just starting out, a set of three different weight dumbbells would be all you need, along with a good set of trainers or walking shoes. And watch Will’s videos!

  2. Good exercises but you totally missed a chest press exercise to hit the Pectoral muscles man so you should have had a chest press as your third exercise and then had the bent over rows and then the last one be the shoulder press to have 5 exercises but your first two exercises were perfect.

  3. Hi Will…excuse my poor English. My main language is the FRENCH. I follow you since a couple of months…buy your book (excellent guide). Actually, I use RÉSISTANCE BANDS for my training, using your capsules on YouTube. I am 76 and I have a problem with my left shoulder which is completely blocked following a very old hockey injury poorly treated a long time ago.
Do you have any suggestions for exercises with resistance bands that could help me quietly unblock this shoulder in order to give it more amplitude?
Thank you and until then I continue to diligently follow your videos on YouTube.

  4. What a fantastic video but this is no suprice with you! I have questions. Can i do squats with a meniscus tear? ( i ve seen all you videos on meniscus) Also can i do shoulder press even seated with a double scoliosis or is it too much pressure for the spine? And if not how can i train my shoulders without pressuring the spine? Thank you for your help!

  5. Will – as a variation on the weights in front sliding down the thighs, my PT has also been intentionally asking me to round my back as I drop the weight to my ankles. Her theory is that people don't live in perfect posture and she wants to strengthen muscles for all the movements I make which she assumes will include poor posture sometimes if not often. Valid theory?

  6. Thank you Will for your YT work. It's nice to have a reliable resource to refer to. I'm looking for a complete free weight program for the full body. I've been using machines for a year, but I want to get the benefits of combination exercises. Do you have a 60-90 minute workout for this purpose? 2 exercises chest, back, & shoulders. Something similar for the lower body.
