Is it normal for shifting to be sometimes a bit gritty and sometimes perfect smooth and quick when up shifting between the last 3 biggest gears of 11-34 on hg700?

Shifting is always silent and quick when moving between the smallest gears until probably the 8th. From 9th to 11th largest, sometimes is smooth sometimes its a big gritty

Bike only has less than 4000km, always waxed with squirt, new HG701 chain, newly newly installed Jagwire shif cables. Newly replaced derailluer hanger as well.

It always shifts with 1 click there's really no issue, I just feel that the biggest 3 ones dont shift as consistently as the smaller ones. You'll see in the video that some shifts are quicker and silent vs others. Is this just the timing of my pressing of the lever?

Shifting 11s 105 r7020, is this normal behavior?

  1. Looks like normal shifting to me. It takes longer for the chain to fully rotate and wrap around a larger cog, so that would make it a slower shift technically.

If it’s slower on the downshift than the upshift could turn the barrel adjuster an 1/8th or so to tighten up on the cable. It would speed up the downshift, but go too far and it will slow down the up shift. If it’s slow in your opinion shifting in both directions, that may just be the nature of your drivetrain.
