In the US every one of them in a private automobile losing their minds. Then they get into the chic fil a drive through line that extends out of the parking lot and onto the stroad even though the restaurant uses the whole block for car storage and there is really only 20 people in line.
These people already live in the bright future. They try to use economic and affordable means of transport to protect themselves and all living things in the district from toxic gases and the deafening noise.
I absolutely love commuting to work by bike except when dealing with cars. Every time I drive I pull my hair out. Oh how I wish I lived in Utrecht. Can't wait to visit again. Hopefully less rain next time.
I am currently travelling to Utrecht. I was amazed looking at the by vredenburgknoop/Catharinsjnesingel intersections (a complex intersection very close to this one) how many cyclists could fit in a single green light cycle.
if instead of cycling, they would be in a car for one third of them, on buses for another and walking for the last; the city would be entirely clogged!
Comfortable means of transportation for people. Away from the noise of cars inside the city. And the city air is clean. I hope Iraq will be like that😊😊🎉
It's quiet and the air would be way cleaner, but I think it would take many people some time to get used to the density. Usually, you're bot as close to so many cyclist around here.
Going to work on a bicycle has a wonderful effect: it's so pleasant that the moment you arrive you really want to go back home so that you could get back on the bicycle. 😌😁
A bike takes《》space,a car takes《》space,so instead of acres(hectares) for cars, you have square feet[metres] for bikes! Added, plenty of exercise, and much cleaner air! Thank you 😇 😊!
interestingly, this type of bicycle rush hour can still feel very frustrating because of different riding speeds, unpredictable behaviour and the like.
I was born and raised in Utrecht. Got my drivers license at 29 and bought my first car a year later. It was because the company I work for moved out of the city. I now realize I should have gotten a new job instead of a car.

Watching this after returning from a trip where I was the only bike on the road surrounded by speeding cars 😭 This looks so civilized by contrast

So nice and quiet, and no trucks farting fumes into your face.
Can you imagine moving this many people in cars instead of on bikes? The entire city would be totally gridlocked.

What is so special about this? I have seen clips from 1930 China with lots more cyclists

Is it just me or do other people like rush hour on Vredenburgstraat too?
😂❤
Just one more lane bro
Lady in red shows how to cycle while wearing a dress. Nice.
in asia i had a similar experience – with scooter and motorcycles – but much louder and with nasty odor – still very effective…
I think I spotted the tourist.

My
Dream
Commute
Just another day at the office😅
Btw don't think their are no cars or highways in the netherlands
There are plenty of them but they are advised against in the center of the cities
It's not even that much compared to rush hour Japan, where car roads are completely taken over
Unlike people driving cars, the people on bikes are actually signaling their intentions! Amazing!
The type of traffic we appreciate 😊

Beautiful
The traffic lights seem like useless

Really nice, thanks. Haven't seen something like this in Germany, although we are literally right next to you
Where are the helmets?
It is good.
Compared to Utrecht, The Hague is muuuuuch calmer. Never see such a traffic here. Remember this from Utrecht though.
Where are Uber Eats ?
not a helmet in sight
🎉
i think portrait video makes this look way more dangerous than it would feel in person. our field of view is so much better

but still better than thousands of card
I was in Utrecht last week and this is making me miss it. Biking in fake London sucks and can be dangerous.

Pls more pixels
Also very enjoyable when it is pouring with rain early January and the temperature is 2 Celsius and the wind is howling.
It is also fun to fluidly move through that at good speeds.
Glad to say I can be proud of my hometown 😊
Next time you are in Oost please dm for coffee!!!
Berangkat 🚴♂️😂
