Needed a simple front bag support. Anyone else done this? 5$ piece of stainless steel rod bet to the right shape and a few zip ties. I am a little concerned with the ties rubbing the paint so may need to find another strap solution.

Maybe move the sip tie to the headset spacers, or use a different material for that spot
Helicopter tape at the back of the head tube might be worth considering, but I like the idea of moving the zip tie up to the headset spacer.

Not quite what you’re looking for but I made a decaleur using the same steel rod method and bent it to wedge under the stem. No contact with the frame to rub against. For paint protection you can buy clear rubber food tubing to protect from scratching your bike or bag.
This $5 solution works great for my ortlieb handlebar bag
There’s pretty good clones for under 30 on AliExpress. Brought the actual Jack rack for my around the city fixed gear, couldn’t justify full price one on my single speed that I take out a hand full of times a month
100% will wear away at the head tube or anything you place over the headtube.
Connect to the headset spacers.
Looks great. Do want!
You could use some heat shrink tubing on the zip ties as well as in place of the electrical tape.
I used solid aluminum bar and it was strong enough to carry a small camera bag. Held it all down with bungee cord and put heat shrink where the metal and cord rubbed the frame. If I can find it I’ll take a picture.
Velcro or vole strap! This is dope!
