Old school Cycle Speedway from the South Coast of Dorset, Hamworthy v Poole Tigers (Tiggers 🤣). Great to see such basic CS from the eighties, and some keenly contested races. Names to watch out for from Poole are Welsh international and former Wales manager, John Bryant, the stylish Nick Daymen and the hard riding Leigh Town and Andy ‘Arri’ Carry.
For Hamworthy, watch out for Arthur Lawrence (huge clubman at Poole Comets these days) who is a track specialist, Paul Syms, the 1984 British Junior Champion, and a very young Julian Hardy who was a successful Poole Comet after transferring to the rival club, and made various British Individual Finals including a 2nd place in 1992, as well as numerous British Team Final wins.
