  1. Not really a crazy deal. It’s a custom build around a Trek Domane RSL Gen 4 frameset (introduced around 2022/23) with Ultegra Di2, a single-sided 4iiii PM, Winspace wheels and a Yeoleo cockpit.
Solid parts, but nothing superbike-level. At $5.5k that’s basically market value, not a steal. and no rip off either. The 10k build value is just retail math.

  2. Chat doesn’t know shit about bikes.

This is a weird build if you ask me. The Domane is trek’s endurance model (relaxed geometry, built in vibration damping adds weight) but the RSL (Race Shop Limited, I believe) line is supposed to be the super light racy version. They gave it the same geometry as the previous H1 emonda which is a notoriously long and low, aggressive race bike. So it’s lighter but heavier, and comfy but aggressive? Just a massive contradiction, kinda bad at everything.

You can get a much more “focused” bike for the money, even if buying new. Save your money, figure out what kind of bike you need (aero, lightweight, endurance etc) and then buy a better bike for your money.

  3. Just be aware that the Domane RSL is a complete different geometry than the regular Domane. The Domane is an endurance bike while the RSL is a long and low race bike (and I believe was sold frameset only). Not a bad bike, just don’t get confused by the name.

  4. Trek was blowing these frames out a couple weeks ago for around half off. I like the build and believe it’s worth the asking price.

  5. I would be worried with all the 3rd party Chinese parts they’re using that its also a 3rd party Chinese (fake) frame.

Better verify that serial number buddy!
