Hard to tell from this angle only but looks like yours hood could be better aligned / placed. Also how they are placed is subjective. But these do not look slammed in my opinion. The other issue with the pic is the flare of the bars look pretty extreme. Making it more difficult to access.

  2. I mean, the product image shows the end of the drops being vertical. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  3. If they work for you, I guess just roll with it.

But yeah, that looks like the frame reach is too long and the stack too low so you’re trying to get the hoods up and closer. I’d say think about shorter-reach bars, but the Corralitos are about is short as it gets. Maybe something like a shorter stem and a Redshift top-shelf bar with +70mm rise would also work.

  4. I have the same bars, and mine look similar. Doesn’t matter much unless you’re going for max aero (which you wouldn’t be with those bars and a cool Breezer frame), you’re having issues with gripping the bars/hoods or any other pain. If they feel right then they are right.

The drops don’t need to be completely parallel to the ground but they should be a lot closer than this. The hoods, are mounted too low.

It is supposed to be mounted like this.

One old trick someone taught me to get the hoods in correct position is to set the angle of the bars first, then take a straight edge from the bottomomost corner of the drops, and align it with the bottom of the brake lever.

  6. Your hoods are too far down into the drop, they should have been higher up, more at the bend where the drop down starts. That would allow you to roll the bar forward and have the drops in a more appropriate position.

  7. It’s great to see so many knowledgeable bike enthusiasts sharing their experience and expertise. I’m learning a lot.
