It is a short trail 27 miles out and back, not counting what we did on the road but it is scenic, smoothly paved, and we like riding without auto traffic. We did it a couple of times on the weekend. We are still getting back into the swing of cycling after a 25 year off layoff so this was perfect for us since the climbs are mild.
The weather was sunny, breezy and gorgeous. There was a tree down from Thursday but Chipley Cycles (LBS) warned us ahead of time. No mechanical or other incidents. Just spinning the cranks and enjoying the rides.
If you go, be sure to stop in at Chipley Cycles. They were very friendly and gave advice for local rides. It is right near the trail head in Pine Mountain. We bought a pair of their shop jerseys
I am so lucky that my wife is not only my business partner but also my cycling partner. It makes these weekend cycling trips a true shared joy.
