The stage should have been cancelled. Sprinting in snow and ice is madness.
It's not a mountain stage, brutal or otherwise if riders like Biney and Lamperti are involved in the finale.
Finally a course I could do 😅 I cycle further on my commute! Why did they bother in these conditions.
Pathetic, 2nd rate race and DS putting their whole team in danger, should've told the team to sit up… Why risk the whole season

The race organizers should be penalized to allow to start a stage in this weather conditions. Uci so worry and concerned with doping but the risk of racing like today is not problem. What a shame

If they wanted to make it a test for the GC riders and reduced risk, they should have made the race into a longer, technically simple time trial/hill climb (about 40 km). There would have been little opportunity for riders to cause each other to crash, it would have allowed the strongest GC riders to show their athletic prowess, and organizers would have only needed to control a small segment of the region's roads. Edit: Most races during this time of year should have these contingencies built into the planning process, particularly when mountains are involved.
Why do the bloody idiots give the game away in the thumbnail- so sad ITV lost the rights to so much to TNT. TNT highlights and actual coverage is frigging bad
