Hi everyone,

I found this Canyon outlet deal and I’m wondering if it still makes sense compared to the current 2026 Aeroad lineup.

https://www.canyon.com/it-it/outlet-biciclette/bici-da-corsa/aeroad-cf-slx-7-di2-se4/4489.html

It’s the Aeroad CF SLX 7 Di2 SE4 for €3,399 from the outlet (basically new but with cosmetic imperfections). ()

My main doubt is about the generation difference.

From what I understand:

  • The newest Aeroad generation introduced the PACE modular cockpit and some aero improvements.
  • The frame is still the same fourth-generation Aeroad platform used in the current models?

So my question is mainly:

  • Is there any real performance difference between this outlet model and the current 2026 Aeroad CF SLX 7 Di2?
  • Or is it basically the same bike with small spec/color updates, making the outlet deal a no-brainer?

Curious what you think — is the outlet price good enough to ignore the newest version?

  1. There was another post recently with this very same question, use the search. Lots of comments there on the differences.

  2. The frame is very similar, main difference is the handlebar if you you’d like to change the drops or add aerobars. there are minor design changes to the frame (for aesthetics and technical reasons). there’s not gonna be any performance difference. I would buy it if I were looking for a new bike because I prefer shimano and for that price it’s pretty decent. I’d go for the green one. it’s like apple releasing the iphone SE it’s really compelling and value for money.

I see the price is €3500 and not €3400.

  3. To me it looks like a mashup of parts (2023 frame with the questionable seatpost clamp, new wheels and 2024+ groupset). Price is okayish for a new one. People selling used are generally asking for too much money anyway
