Looks like a wonderful machine for the purpose!
Very different in style but very similar in terms of design choices to the Nishiki Pro BLT with Alfine 8 that I’m riding.
Depending on your clothing, consider either a strap to put around your right leg to avoid the belt, or a small guard that covers the belt near the front drive.

Congrats! I got one recently as well (in midnight blue) for a similar commute length. Has been about a month now… Overall I love it, but had to swap tyres straight away as was getting punctures immediately.
