Day 1 of our UK bikepacking trip with our around the world bike-bag set up on. We cycled from Derby to Settle (Yorkshire) for day 1, a 117 mile ride, we did not have luck with the weather but it’s all good training for around the world!

Thank you so much for watching, if you’re riding, enjoy it and stay safe x

  1. Hey Kyle, one suggestion for ATW regarding trousers. When I'm touring, I bring a lightweight pair of trousers that convert into shorts (with zippers). They're not particularly fashionable (I'm of an age where I don't care anymore anyway, but maybe you will…), but it's nice to have the option of either without having to bring two pieces of clothing. Worth considering?

  2. Really nasty weather today .Sort of day the cat stays in all day along with me .So a ride up Belach na Ba on Rouvy was my bit of exercise .You would be better off doing it indoors on Rouvy some where for five hours .How the hell a lass like you can keep 200 watts up amazes me

  3. Your baggage on the rear wheel has too high a center of gravity. It is unstable. When I used to bikepack, I had a bike rack over the rear wheels with two big panniers on each side of the wheel. Nothing on the rack. Very stable. Your front panniers look good.

  4. I admire your enthusiasm but shouldn’t you be riding touring bikes with full mudguards, touring gears, external cable routing and touring wheels and tyres ?

  5. If you're in a jam for dark chocolate, go to the biscuit aisle and find some McVitie's. Have to ask, is your bike pump a push-on adaptor or screw-on, as I had a massive problem where the screw-on one kept unscrewing the valve core, god knows why they made them like that. Shoes for around the world, I would literally be taking sliders/flipflops, and were the jeans just a way of weighing the bike down? Tesco's really do the best Pink ladies, they are huge and juicy. Safe travels to the both of you.

  6. If you're going fast aero bags setup.
I'm exited to see you guys cycle the world.
You'll have to do it twice. Second time slowly so you see the sights and meet more folks.
It gets better when you leave the UK.
    Best of luck..
