I got my bike used and after a month of riding I relive the headset is loose. So I go to look how I would tighten my headset with the one up v1 EDC tool. But everything I see has a specific carrier and my doesn’t and there is no hold at the bottom of the stem.
Help with tightening one up v1 EDC tool

The steerer should be internally threaded for that cap (black ring). You can use a cassette tool to tighten it.
It’s tough to tell but if it’s not this kit

Then it’s definitely cause your steerer tube should be threaded for that cap. You’ll never be able to tighten without tapping the steerer if that’s the case.
You’re missing the entire bottom half of the assembly… either see if you can get a replacement or just install a normal stem.
If you don’t know what you’re doing, Make sure to bring it to the bike shop so it’s properly installed/adjusted. A loose headset is no joke on a mtb.
OP, so far everyone in this thread is wrong.
You have the threadless stem that one up stopped offering because it wasn’t great. They basically scrubbed it off their site as you can’t even find instructions. You need to tighten the bottom 3mm after you tighten the main bolts. It’s a pain because you basically have to eliminate all the play before you tighten the main bolts. I know because I owned this stem and didn’t like it so I threaded my steerer.
Here is an article/review on it to give you an idea. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/review-oneups-edc-stem-and-a-new-way-to-tighten-your-headset.html
