Hello, I was looking for a second opinion on this bike I’m looking to buy. The guy said he would do 400, is this a good deal? Or should I keep looking.

Any insight is appreciated!!

This is his listing comment with all the specs:

90’s Gary fisher Aquila

This bike is in pristine condition especially for its age. It’s been stored inside and very well maintained. You’ll probably never find another Aquila in this condition or any 90’s retro for that matter.

Man, that thing looks like the previous owner really loved it. And the price is really not half-bad, I built a similar frankenbike about 10 years ago from an old frame and it cost me around $800 to do. I’d say it looks like a fairly solid price, given the updated components and fork. If it was a just stock Gary Fisher with original compnents, I’d expect it to go for around $300-$350 in rideable condition, and this is a few steps beyond just “rideable”.

  2. That’s not a bad deal if you like how he’s got it setup already. looks like a fun bike
