GT Avalanche 4.0 XCM for $100?

I'm trying to get an outdoor activity since I'm usually indoor and decided to try biking on trails. Got this off fb marketplace for $100 freshly tuned up. Rode it and seems smooth on roads. I haven't tried going on trails yet only at the park. It comes with XCM fork. What things should I look for before going to trails? Thanks!
