Can anyone please recommend a good quality headset for this 90s r600 frame? Also does anyone know where I can get replacement cable holder things for the downtube (pic 2) I've just found out they aren't for shifters (?) TIA!
Campagnolo makes a downtube cable stop too, you sometimes see them on Ebay. I just grabbed links but it looks like you want the flat one, not the concave type, so the Problem Solvers one might not work. Something to double check before purchase.

Wow this takes me back! My first real road bike, late 80’s. Picture 2 is actually the bosses where the shifters mounted, these were later generation for the SIS indexed shifters (pre STI integration) – mine had friction shifters, 6-speed Suntour. I think the trickiest thing here will be getting a rear wheel that works with this frame’s spacing and accommodates a modern set of gears.

I have a R600, this is a CAAD3 frame and was sold with various Shimano groupsets. Different coloured frames had different groupset levels.
The one i have is bright green, was factory spec’d with Ultegra, but was rebuilt for its first owner by the shop with Dura Ace. This one has a threaded 1″ Slice carbon fork.
Build it to your desire and enjoy it!
Edit: added information.
The shifter bosses on your frame will take standard down tube shifters or cable stops if you’re using STI shifters and can be found on EBay.

king and cane creek probably make one
Headset depends on the kind of fork you’ll be using, threaded vs threadless.
Shimano and other companies sell down tube shifter mounted cable stops.
Cane Creek 40 is the standard, nothing flashy, good quality headset available in 1″ and 1-1/8″. I don’t know what size your frame is.
