Every country and community has its own accent and none are wrong. Saying it one way doesn't make other pronunciations incorrect. English itself varies a lot depending on where it's spoken so it's all about which accent you use. There is no need to judge only appreciate the diversity..
The very fact that both are wrong. In British English/Received pronunciation, it's 'as-muh'. While In American Received Pronunciation, it's 'az-muh'. As British colonised the Indians, it's necessary to accent that received pronunciation.😊
