Stage 6 of the Tour of Britain is from Bath to Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. As part of the route the cyclists will attempt to climb Kop Hill in Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire. Paul Scoins and Geoff Doyle from BBC Three Counties Radio are both keen cyclists and so earlier this week attempted to cycle up Kop Hill.

  1. This is what annoys me with the media in this country ( this is BBC 3 counties).Where anything involved in cycling has to show people that look as though they have never ridden competitively in their lives in a cycle race.Look at their positions on the bikes..its a joke.I am sorry but anything involving cycling in Britain has to belittle the sport with showing unfit  and awkward looking people on bikes. There are thousands of riders out here that are dedicated to cycling and racing and have far superior knowledge of techniques and how to ride basically a hill than these two.The triathlete looks as though he is straddling the handlebars his position is so ridiculous and the fatter guy just looks like a so out of shape weekend rider.
It seems in this country we cant be serious when it comes to this great sport which gives us the most honours at every championship.

  2. Blue rinse, I think you should get out more !! You obviously don't mix with real people! I though the idea was to get people out on a bike whatever their level of fitness – or weight. Will all have to start somewhere – were you born an "expert" cyclist ? Your attitude just puts people off. I am glad I don't ride with you – get your head out of your arse !!
