Hi everyone,

My current drivetrain is:

Shifter: Shimano CUES U4000 9-speed / Shimano BL-MT200 brake lever
Rear derailleur: Shimano CUES U4020 9-speed
Front derailleur: Shimano CUES U4000
Crankset: Shimano CUES U4000 22-36T, 175 mm (2x)
Cassette: Shimano CUES LG300 9-speed 11-36T

I’m thinking about converting the bike to 1x and replacing the crankset with Shimano CUES FC-U4000-1 170 mm 32T (1×9/10/11 compatible).

Would this work with my current 9-speed LG300 cassette and U4020 rear derailleur?

I assume I would remove the front derailleur and shifter, but I’m not sure if there would be any compatibility issues (chainline, chain length, etc.).

Also, what specific parts or tools would I need to complete this conversion? For example, would I need a new chain, bottom bracket spacers, or anything else?

Thanks for the help!
