Is there a “right” way to angle riser bars? I have my Sim Works Cowcow bar angled to be parallel (approximately) to the forks as that’s where they feel most comfortable. Not quite sure thats how they’re intended to be as the markings on the front suggest they aren’t centred (assuming the markings should probably have the half way line in the middle if that makes sense)

  1. You can twist them as much as you like.

Normally you want the Grip ends of the bar to be exactly horizontal, which is the case on many bars when the rise is exactly vertical. lowering the rise to the back like you do on the photo is a hint that you prefer a lower reach system. So you could experiment with a forward saddle or shorter stem or just call it a day cause the differences are negligible.

Btw, i initially preferred lower reach on my bikes too, but eventually after years of daily riding i feel that it would be nicer to stretch out a bit more. So these preferences absolutely do change with training and better hip and back mobility. Maybe i will become comfortable with drop bars eventually if i continue to increase reach and decrease stack height by 1-2mm every month.
