Bought this Checker Pig CPX C05 complete for 90€, it came with LX groupset that will go for the parts bin.

Frame was in really good condition, the paint hasn't barely any scratches so I decided to make it my commuter bike. Drivetrain is a mismatched SRAM parts I have laying around, highlighting the XX1 derailleur and shifter with a 11-50 cassette and a 34 chainring and SX cranks. Brakes are Shimano DXR that work fine but I really want to treat myself with an XTR set.

The wheels are Vision 25 with Hutchinson Touareg 700x40C tires. Here I want some recomendations on a wheels upgrade for the future.

The saddle is a Brooks Flyer Special that I got for 10€ in a flea market in pretty bad condition and after a good restoration I'm testing it out to see how it feels but I don't know if i will stay with it cause it is a bit bulky.

One think I don't like about this frame is that the seatpost diameter is 26. something mm so i can't not use other 27.2 seatposts I have and need to stick with the checker pig one.

Overall, I am pretty happy on how the bike rides and looks. Previously had a Trek Multitrack 700 for the same purpose and altough was a good bike I prefer the Checker Pig.

Love it! Such a proportionate and tastefully put together bike. Only thing I don’t love is the seat which looks like you’d need a monocle and a bowler hat to ride.
