I’ve had it with my car. Sitting in traffic feels like a waste of my soul, but I live in a city that’s basically a maze. I’m ready to switch to an ebike, but I don’t want to buy something that dies the second it sees a hill.

What’s the secret sauce for climbing? Is it more about the motor’s Nm rating or just raw Wattage? And should I be worried about bike weight? I’m not exactly a pro athlete, so I need the motor to do the heavy lifting.

If you’ve bought a bike that turned out to be a "hill-hater," tell me what specs you had so I can avoid the same mistake lol.

  1. Post this is /ebike.
In this sub the aswer is “lower gears and bigger legs”.
    It works, btw

  2. No specific reccomendations but try to get something with torque sensing pedal assist so you still have to put in some effort to ride as the excercise is a big benefit of riding as opposied to throttle ebikes.
