I just tried to install the Tubus Fly Evo Rack on my Van Rysel EDR easy bike.
My bike does have 2 mounting points for a rack, but the u brake is blockinh 1 mounting point. Thus classical racks are not an option. The tubus fly evo seemed to offer a solution, but the gemeotry doesn't make sense.
The straight attachment pole which, is pointing upwards due to the geometry of the bike.
I could try to bend it into place but that sounds like a super bad idea.
Do other mounting options of tubus seem doable for the bike I have or does this one simply not fit my bike? Or do you see a fatal flaw in the way I installed it?

These bars are meant to be bent to the correct shape! Don’t worry about it, it’s normal.
Bend the rod. It’s solid malleable aluminum for this reason.
If that upper tube is solid bending should be fine. If it’s a pipe/tube then it’ll kink.
Does it have an adapter to use the side rack mounts?

I would just bend the bar very carefully into shape.
