If you ride a bike it’s worth keeping. If you are just storing a bike and letting it get dusty you should sell it.

Probably 2 to be honest.

This makes me feel better. I think I have 9 bikes total. 4 are older 26ers. I try to ride em all.

Curious what the subtle ride characteristic differences you notice between them? From a quick glance my guess would be there would be a lot of similarities.

My fleet counts 14…you’re good.

Sweet. Which one do you ride the most?

No such thing as “too many”. Only “I want that one”

To many that are the same, you need to diversify

This is too many, save some for the rest of us

I’d only keep one of these and sell the rest. You can only ride one bicycle at a time anyway.
For me it would be the one of the top two bikes.

All those are almost identical, so get rid of five of them. I wonder what the “many more” covers.
Hoarding, it is not a good thing

one gravel winter, one gravel summer, one vintage road.

3 is too many. You can ride pretty much everything on one bike just fine. For parents I would say 3 is okay as you may need a dedicated kid hauler.

I would consider more than 10 bikes a bit excessive.

I’m eyeing a Marin Larkspur 2, to take the place of 2 bikes. I go into a little analysis paralysis every time I ride! It’ll be my local mild “edge of the woods” and dirt roads and I can put panniers front and back to do GAP sort of adventures. Although my son wouldn’t want to be seen with me as much with a “girls bike” 😄

I keep the ones that call me to ride them. I get rid of the ones I don’t ride.
Someday will come when you will know how many is too many. Not today, but someday. Nice collection!

Too many for me is when i havent got enough room for them. I sold a few last month for this reason.
Funny thing is i sold a Dawes Wildcat just like yours! Thats a great collection to have

If you don’t ride them you don’t need them. That being said only you know the answer to this question

That Dawes is pretty cool looking! Love the yellow. I’d say 2 is personally a good number of bikes to have. I have 4 frames, and I’m trying to scale to 2 knowing I won’t have use for all 4 at the same time.

I’ll never understand having more than one of essentially the same bike.
It’s not like we’re talking about Les Pauls and you’re Joe Bonermaster, yet
I have four bikes that are all kinda like the ones you have here. I can see and feel the difference in my quiver, but they are all off-road capable and only the gravel bike is suspended
