The Division Naval Systems (led by NVL B.V. Co & KG) is a division of Rheinmetall AG and is responsible for maritime solutions in surface shipbuilding. The division comprises four highly specialised shipyards in northern Germany: Blohm+Voss and Norderwerft in Hamburg, Peene-Werft in Wolgast and Neue Jadewerft in Wilhelmshaven.

Internationally, the division is represented by engineering offices and operations in Egypt, Brunei, Bulgaria, Croatia and Singapore. As a specialist in the design and manufacture of technologically complex naval vessels and coast guard vessels, the Division Naval Systems is responsible for the ongoing procurement programmes for five new corvettes (as lead contractor), two new replenishment oilers and three new intelligence vessels for the German Navy.

The contracting authority has also commissioned the division to examine the takeover of the new construction project for a total of six new Class 126 frigates as general contractor. Once the review process has been completed and the project is expected to continue under Rheinmetall’s leadership, the division would bring this extensive and complex shipbuilding project for the German Navy to completion in a position of responsibility.

In addition to its shipbuilding capabilities, the Division Naval Systems supports naval vessels and coastguard vessels throughout their entire life cycle and offers its customers a comprehensive portfolio for the maintenance, repair and servicing of their fleets. The Division Naval Systems is also a pioneer in the research and development of autonomous maritime surface systems for military and civil applications and provides its customers with comprehensive solutions in the field of manned/unmanned teaming (MUM-T).

  1. That's great and all, but there seems to be an error with your website. I cannot find the order button! How am i supposed to get my new frigatte now?
