They’re both decent bikes but holy crap that’s a lot of cash for a used bike customized to someone else’s preferences. I’d go with the Cannondale if forced to choose between the two, but TBH I’d be looking around for better deals.

  2. Neither for that price tbh. Unless you can talk them down to around $2,500. Both are great bikes, though.

Also be aware that the float x2 on both bikes has cavitation issues… so be ready to service it somewhat frequently. I wouldn’t be surprised if both are in need of service, which is $250-300.

And both bikes need new brakes (sram are 🤢).

  3. Not a big fan of high-pivot bikes, so I would pass on that Cannondale. The non-original, mismatched wheels is a downgrade, I think. And the 2022 and 2023 Jekyll 1s were identical, so who knows whether that really is a 2023 model. Price seems a bit high for a 2023 bike that was $6,250 when new.

You know what YT is going through, so there’s that. $3K for a 4 year old 2022 Capra that was $6K may be a bit high.

I know OP is trading a DH bike for one of these two, so he needs to know what the bikes are worth before he tries to make a trade deal. Hopefully, OP’s bike is not worth significantly more than these bikes.
