This oil is a penetrating oil for freeing stuck bolts; not suitable for bikes, it can damage the shocks.
Use a dedicated suspension oil.

WD40 ist not a lubricant. Ist the most common misunderstanding of WD40. If you want to lubricate a fork this way with a needle use a lubricant for forks. And please read the instructions of your fork. Forks often need a sort of sticky grease, not a thin oil. Depends on manufacturer.
Unless you’re trying to displace any moisture trapped in the fork I’d just use a silicone based lubricant.

As a bike mechanic this is the worst thing to do to your fork.
1 You scratch your stanchions whit that nidle.
2 You wash away the good grease and dry out our foam rings and dust wipers.
3 Some bikes that come to me have the special coating on their forks(special clear coating on rockshox and gold kasima) ruined by wd 40.
