This CTC Swansea club ride follows a mixed road and cycle path route from Pontarddulais to Llanelli, showcasing lesser-known traffic-free sections around Swansea and Carmarthenshire. With 21 riders taking part — our largest turnout at the time — we link hidden cycle paths with quiet road stretches to create a practical and repeatable club route.
Filmed in September 2025, this video focuses on helping other cyclists discover where these routes are and how they connect. While not fully traffic-free, the combination of designated cycle paths and quieter on-road sections makes this an accessible and realistic ride for club cyclists and leisure riders alike.
Several of these paths were completely new to us, and that’s exactly why this video was made — to make more riders aware of what’s available between Pontarddulais, the surrounding villages, and Llanelli.
