thinking about a little Italy tour in April from Verona to Sicilia. Which coast is more beautiful to ride and sleep outside ?
anyone want to share some hot tips and experiences ?
I want to be way more offroad then my last tours, testing the new mtb bike setup 🙂
would like to stay away from the big coast roads and enjoy a slow pace a few kilometres land inwards…

Did you base your route planning on the [Eurovelo route?](https://de.eurovelo.com/ev7)
If not, i would advice to do so. I biked from Perugia to Innsbruck 2 years ago and i did not really like my route, since i just took the fastest track with lots of cars. The appenin was nice and everything starting from verona to Innsbruck too.
Went on the via adriatica down till Bari and than to more inwards in Apulia to see the white city’s.
Was bit boring the east coast to ride till you reach Apulia. It’s mostly flat and pretty nice cycling infrastructure(like an old rail track converted to a bike lane directly on the sea side!)
On the west coast i went inwards and had to avoid Napoli quite some with track to be able to ride and enjoy.
East coast was very easy to camp spontaneously if the campgrounds are already open or you wild camp but can be hard as italy is a very dense country where there is always smth build or someone living but it’s possible
