Clee Hill is one of my favourite climbs. Scenic and quiet. The perfect place to go see the sunset. But first I had the challenge of cycling into a 20mph headwind for 35 miles to get to the highest point of Shropshire.
Then I had 40 miles of riding in the pitch black to get home.

Brave at night mate
The state of the roads! Just watched cycle tour in Iceland. Perfect roads despite being a colder place with a much smaller population.
The road up from Tenbury to Clee Hill village is a good climb even has a couple of alpine type switchbacks along the way. Nice descent down to Cleobury as well.
I often do night rides as it’s much quieter wether you’re on a road , cycle track , promenade or canal it’s peaceful . Why not look at the transitions glasses 👓 where if it’s dark they go clear and when it’s sunny they darken , I was a sceptical at first but they are great and now only need one pair for any ride . Also have you heard they built a new and bigger golf ball on great dun fell !! I will be checking that out this summer ⛳️
Always a good watch Andrew. Been over Clee Hill a lot but, never on the bike.Don’t know why but saying that, I’d have stopped at the Chippy!
Guy I know from Kings Heath and top bike mechanic went that way a few times and onwards to the Welsh Border and back to Kings Heath
