20 year old bike for almost a grand? Hell nah, unless you like the brand or something. Get something from the big brands. Preferrably newer, something that clears a 28 lol.
This is NOT a bike for a half ironman, you need and aerodynamic bike. Serrottas are very nice custom USA made bike frames for people who want nice custom made bikes for cruising. This one has a custom geometry specifically for a more comfortable upright (IE not-aero) position.
This is maybe a $600 bike if it’s cleaned up and ready to ride, with most that value being the frame (Serrotta steel+cane creek headset+EC90 carbon fork, and OK wheels)
