Your black Pliage is already in a size Large. What you bought is a size Medium, but they sold it as a large. You can get XL if you want something larger than your black one.
Sweetie, you already had the L size. If you want to go larger with long handles, you have to either get a full canvas XL from the LP collection or think of another bag to purchase. At one time you could get a custom LP where you could decide the handle length (I got my XL with long handles done 9 years ago) and they're updating the custom LP experience right now so I don't know if they will be offering the long handles as an option in the future.
Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch, Kurt Geiger and several other brands do canvas totes with leather straps if you need one right now.

your old LePl is large, not a medium. if you expect the bigger, you go with XL. you should go to their web first

It was not as advertised. Poshmark should arrange for you to return it to the seller at their expense. That’s happened to me a couple of times.
You can fix your longchamp corners potentially for free, they cover corners wear and tear.

That is the large for the long handle version. It is slightly different dimensions but just about the same size as the medium sadly.
I use the carry on size. It is amazingly large.
Found mine at a thrift store for $20
