keep your balance over the back of the bike. the way my mentor explained crooked grinds to me is that you basically go for an ice pick but dip your front end over just enough to get the peg to touch

I’m right there with you. It’s literally the very first thing that I do at my local when warming up and 80% of the time I get that twisting that you’re battling.

Twist your body in to it a bit as you grind.

Need to twist your hips into the rail to push the arse end of the bike into the rail so it doesn’t slip off like in the video.
I’ve got the opposite issue where the front comes off so it’s more of a duster than a crook. Also found bit taller rails seem to work better
