I have this San Marco saddle and would like to know more about it.
I assume it is a lower-end sport model that uses faux leather.
It came from a 1987 Specialized Sirrus, but it is not the original stock saddle. The stock model was a Selle Italia Mundialita.
The reason I’m asking is that I would like to repaint it, and the material will determine which dye or paint I should use.

Cut a tiny bit off and burn
its leather
It’s leather. It’s a nice saddle. It’s obvious from the back of it.
Looks faux to me. Can you heat test a piece.
Look it up on their website ..
That gen, 100% leather
The underside is looking like leather.
It’s ‘Lorica’.
That’s actually a pretty nice saddle. 99% chance it’s leather.
