Wow, this is the difference between Faz and most other coaches. His ego can cope with criticism from players. You have to listen. I loved Eddie Jones but I guess, and I don't know, that he was unable to take this kind of feedback. It came across like it was his way or the highway. Happy to be proven wrong of course, could just be perception.
South African fan here – I appreciate the ocean of wisdom and knowledge from these two rugby legends, Dan Cole and all the other collaborators of this show.
Allowing us Southern Hemisphere folk to broaden our perspective and understand the great culture of Northern Hemisphere rugby.
Ben Youngs has my respect forever for his intensity and IQ everytime we faced the English – fantastic rugby podcaster now too.
It’s a shame the English fans abused him to the point of making him take his family and leaving the country , short memories, then they went for Owen to the point he quit England and took his family and left the country !!!
After the way Andy Farrell was abused by the rugby environment in England, both the playing side and also the fans side of that rugby environment, he had to make a life for himself and his family outside of England. The Farrell family have settled really well in Ireland to the extent that it seems impossible that they’d leave there now…..
For a man who has played league most of his career him and Shawn Edward’s have brought so much to UNION. I know you say there not much difference but there is a big difference
Farrell's secret sauce seems to be that he is the ultimate alpha male, undisputed king of the squad, and thus so completely secure that he can take on board what anyone says without ever feeling his authority is challenged. It also means that all the players want his good opinion of them desperately, so play for him hard.
Irish fan eternally grateful to Andy. I love how much he loves being here, that his family apparently love being here too… Im concerned we may have a bumpy period but Im not at al concerned about the love and respect we will always have for the Farrell's… We were enthralled by Schmidt and likely thought we 'loved him', but we truly love Faz… An absolute inspiration, what a solid human… Faz and Rassie… the GOATS. Some SA fans will chatter about results, but thats missing my point, Im talking about how these men lead, create culture, bring everyone with them… they're a gift… Union is in great shape with heroes like this stewarding top team culture as they do… It trickles down… its fantastic.
Side note: soooo excited for Eng/Aus, Irl/NZ to start, Boks coming up… RUGBY 4LAIF.
But the Irish Team don't care about their National Anthem Amhran na bhFiann….not one has the balls to respect it …the Ulster Tail wagging the Irish Dog …West Brits in the IRFU
And we get Borthwick and Wigglesworth instead of Farrel and Sean Edwards. Having a northern accent and league hertige just too much for the Twickers old farts. 😢😢

Andy Farrell is a great coach, but more importantly, he just seems like a really decent bloke.

How could you not love this man….cant wait for next month ..❤❤❤
My son is a good player and is having a tough time with the position he's been asked to play.
He's been "players player" for the last two seasons, but is nervous about talking to the head coach.
He's a non confrontational lad off the pitch.
I advised him to speak plainly to the boss.
A good leader will relish a chat like that.

He has a great psychology that's why players love to play for him.

I hope he coaches his homeland 🏴 one day.
Why is Goodey so negative about England
I really hope as an Ireland fan that Farrell can bring us far in the World Cup and maybe even win it as I suspect he will be gone after
Heard Warren Gatpand say that of all the players he coached, the Irish players could take on the most detail.
He’s seems to be humble. It’s a good quality in a coach
Oh! That backfired…

Eddie Jones like…… "Naaa maaaate"!
He would be a Brilliant welsh coach 😀

Great coach to be honest.
Jaysus Stevie bleeding wonder could see that sam Prendergast was not a better player than Jack Crowley. I would say that cost us a Grand Slam .
His Irish accent is coming along nicely…
Calling him Faz don’t you just love the upper class bullshit these muppets go on with.
Listen to his audio book
As a Welsh man, I’d scream out loud to RFU get Faz in as manager and Sean Edwards as defence coach. Potential max.
"You was hard work" said with love.
