Hi all, dug this old 2012 Carrera Erakle (Jekyll special edition) frame out of storage recently. It never came with a seat post, and despite looking everywhere, I’ve been unable to find anything compatible to use. It looks like Carrera has undergone a rebrand since then, and no longer has replacement parts. I’ve explored many options including looking for second-hand models to use for parts, seat post adapters, and others to no avail. I’m now starting to look at commissioning a custom post, but this is getting well outside of my wheelhouse. Just wondering if anyone cleverer than me has any suggestions, whether you could recommend commissioning a custom post, or any other advice for tackling this problem! Thank you all in advance for your expertise and time!!

You’d get someone to 3d print an insert for that handy enough, but finding a way to tighten it is going to be a nightmare.

Maybe just epoxy a round seat post into it?

Ah that’s just before they became a Halfords brand. They definitely won’t be any help.

  3. Are we sure this model didn’t use a seat mast instead of a seat post? If seat mast, you may be able to use a seat mast from a different model with shims or some other modification.
