  1. The exact opposite of how I ran. My best was 10.8. but I would always tighten up at the end. People said it looked like I was fighting. But then again my track coach never coached me. He just told me what to run, not how to run. I hope I see this kid continue to improve and I'll be praying for him. Good job

  2. People always say this sort of thing because they think maximum speed has to involve visible maximum effort. Go watch Melissa Jefferson Wooden and Oblique Seville at the last Olympics. Smooth form is a speed sustainer, and sustaining speed is "king" in the 100m. He is clearly tall and lanky so there is also a degree of illusion at work.
