  1. When I grew up in Germany in the70/80 the summers were maybe hot a couple of days and there was not a lot of humidity so you just opened the windows at night but I hear its not like that any more. Germans think the AC makes them sick because of the luftzug so they do not like to use it. LOLπŸ˜‚

  2. Being Australian myself, we experience very hot summers. So an AC is a huge lifesaver as my family and I struggle a lot with warm temperatures and humidity

  3. Summers have gotten stupid. I live north, like NORTH north and I have two portable AC units in my apartment to survive the summer months. 15 years ago I would've thought it to be ridiculous to get AC here.

  4. I’m pretty sure you’re more used to the heat than your husband, considering you came from Vietnam, where it’s very hot and humid.

  5. I have a mobile AC as well (in Germany)… I did not even get it out of the garden shed last summer because it was not needed. And the big issue is -> The hose for the warm air exchange! Where do you put it? You can have 1 room cooled, but wherever the Air hose is placed turns into a tropical nightmare… The window seals are crap. A split A/C system is really the only reasonable thing. Well, Heatpump is even better… But either one can be off the table when you're renting.

  6. Me and my bf want to move to somewhere in Europe so badly. But I’ve been hearing they don’t believe in AC, and somewhere does get AC it’s extremely expensive. But I have medical issues that cause me to overheat quickly and it can make me super sick. So I’m torn

  7. I'm the kind of person who will open all the windows instead of using AC. But my husband can't survive summer without it.

I hate the cold though. But I'll open windows from time to time during winter and hang the clothes to dry outside as long as possible. He thinks I'm crazy. πŸ˜…

  8. It absolutely boggles my mind that Europeans don't have AC. Y'all are in the same lattitude as many of us in the US and we nearly die if we don't have AC, how are you managing to survive?
